Martin Luther Chapel is a Christ-centered mission-minded congregation of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, serving the Michigan State University community, other students, and area residents. This caring community recognizes that the faith, which exists here, is to be shared with as many people as possible. The people of Martin Luther Chapel commit to using the most creative and effective means possible to include new people as part of this ministry, helping them feel they are an essential part of this joyful ministry. Martin Luther Chapel serves students, faculty and community and is located close to campus on Abbot Rd. -- two blocks north of Grand River Ave.

Sunday worship with communion takes place each Sunday at 10:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. (Summer = 9:30 a.m. & 7:00 p.m.). The excitement of worship is highlighted by the use of a variety of liturgies (traditional and contemporary). You are invited to get involved. |
| There are many opportunities for vocalists and instrumentalists to be part of our service and pre-service music! The choir rehearses Thursday evenings at 7:00 pm. Wednesday ON FIRE, instrumental ensembles, a contemporary Praise Team, and Handbell Choir all provide opportunities for involvement. Erven Thoma, who has his Doctorate in organ performance, is our Organist; Mary Grace, a talented pianist, leads our evening Worship service music; and Matthew Olson, who is an MSU graduate student in Choral Conducting, is our Choir Director. |
| Bible studies... Wednesday ON FIRE... study groups... Stephen Ministry... caring outreach... challenging speakers... Sunday suppers... videos... intramurals... retreats... and conversations on faith are part of Martin Luther Chapel. | Invest some time in service to others. Many possibilities exist for service at Martin Luther Chapel and among the needy in our community, such as, soup kitchens, Habitat for Humanity, and Haven House. Spring break servant events in El Paso, TX (Ysleta Lutheran Mission) and Juarez, Mexico; Phoenix, AZ (Christ Church Lutheran and Habitat for Humanity); and Haiti (orphanage construction) are an exciting way to make a difference in the lives of others. |
