Haiti Earthquake relief is ongoing and many have shown an interest in making a tangible difference. Please join us on Wednesday evening Feb. 3, at 8:00 pm on the lower level at the Chapel where we'll talk about ways we can assist the people of Haiti (especially the people of Lilavois where Martin Luther Chapel Servant Events have previously worked). The discussion will be chaired by Andrew Temme, an MSU student who has travelled to Haiti for past spring break Servant Event projects and will be going again in March. We'd love to have you join us.
A Servant Event team of 2 college students and a community resident will be traveling to Haiti on March 3 to provide assistance. The team will be bringing health kit supplies with them. If you would like to provide some supplies for the 50 kits, your donation can be dropped off at the Chapel. Items to be included in each health kit:
We have a direct donation of adult tooth brushes and toothpaste which will also be included in the kits. Due to weight restrictions by the airlines, our goal is to complete 50 health kits. There will be a bin in the church entryway to deposit your gifts.
We hope that this project will serve as a way for everyone, including Sunday School children, to participate and be part of the effort to provide for the victims in Haiti.
If you'd like to make a financial gift this can be done on the Chapel's online secure donation page.
