We would like to welcome you to East Lansing, to Michigan State, and to our community. We offer a wide variety of activities and opportunities throughout the year for students to meet new friends, grow in their faith, have fun, and to serve God and others. Many of the students who are involved at Martin Luther Chapel have found this ministry and the people here to be a home away from home. We are excited to get to know you and welcome you into our family. Here are some of the upcoming events to look forward to during Welcome Week and the first week of classes:

• Sunday Supper, 8/29, 5:30pm, Lower Level @ Martin Luther Chapel: Catch the van and join us for a free-will offering dinner of Mexican food. Get to meet some new friends on campus! If you’d like, stick around for our traditional evening Worship service at 7:00pm.

• Monday Night Bible Study, 8/30, 8:00pm, Fireside Lounge @ Martin Luther Chapel: A coed, student-led Bible Study meeting every Monday during the academic year. Come hang out with us, study Scripture, and spend a few minutes in prayer.

• Sparticipation, 8/31, 5:00pm, Munn Field (outside Munn Ice Arena): Come stop by Martin Luther Chapel’s table to get information about the ministry, learn about events, sign up on mailing-lists and meet student leaders and future friends.

• Wednesday ON FIRE, 9/1, 7:09pm, Sanctuary @ Martin Luther Chapel: A mid-week, contemporary worship service which includes upbeat praise music, student speakers, short videos, and prayer. A large portion of our student population attends weekly. This is a great worship experience to try for something fun, exciting, and modern.

• Men’s Bible Study, 9/1, 8:10pm, Lower Level @ Martin Luther Chapel: A student-led Bible Study for guys. Meets after Wednesday ON FIRE.

• Women’s Bible Study, 9/1, 8:10pm, Fireside Lounge @ Martin Luther Chapel: A student-led Bible Study for girls. Meets after Wednesday ON FIRE.

For all events held at Martin Luther Chapel, there will be a van run on campus beginning 30 minutes prior to the event.

Spring Formal this Friday (4/23) - 8:00 - 11:30 pm

"Night on the Town" is the theme for the 4th Annual Spring Formal! It takes place this Friday beginning at 8:00 pm! Tickets are $3 and can be purchased at the door.

Interested in going out to eat with friends prior to Spring Formal? Email Katrina (weirauc2@msu.edu). Hope to see you Friday night when we're going to dance the night away to some jazz, Sinatra, and contemporary music!

Fall Retreat at Kimball Camp Next Weekend

Take a break from studying and enjoy some time away from campus! You are invited on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 30 & 31, to travel to Kimball Camp in Reading, MI to participate in an overnight retreat with other college students. It's a great time in the out-of-doors (sleep in cabins, bring bedding and towel). Bring along your favorite game and your Halloween costume if you'd like. The cost is $20 per student. The price includes a bonfire, snack, ropes course plus breakfast and lunch on Saturday. It's not too late to sign up or invite a friend!
